Hermès - Égypte "Scarabées et faucons" sjaal
This wonderful Hermès foulard in silk twill, with Egyptian theme, is designed by Cathy Latham, an artist very popular with Hermès. Patterns: beetles, pectorals and falcons. The sacred beetle is one of the symbols of Ancient Egypt, the incarnation of the sun god. This is a symbol of protection for the living and a symbol of rebirth for the dead. In ancient Egypt, the falcon symbolised the war gods like Horus, and for this reason the falcon is associated with the pharaoh. The green and ochre colours are very modern and go well with all styles. The foulard was released for the first time in 1970. Hand rolled hem. Rare. In perfect condition. Careful shipping with tracking number.
