Longwy’s skill with enamel-work is listed in the French ‘Inventaire du patrimoine culturel immatériel’ (inventory of the intangible cultural heritage). Maurice Paul Chevallier (1892-1987), nephew of Raymond Chevallier, took over the artistic direction of the ceramics company, aided by PAUL MIGNON, the best young apprentice decorator in France, who would become the head of the artistic workshops in 1972.
