"British Vascella of 1700" H.M.S. Victory "- Showcase, nautical - Second half 20th century. Origin: United Kingdom. Material: Wood / Okoume. Dimensions: H 89 / W 50 / D 12 cm. H.M.S. Victory (1759) British line ship, curious model of its inside. It entered service in 1778, it participated in its first and second battle of Ushant (independence war, United States), Battle of Cape St. Vincent (1797), French Revolutionary Wars, famous for participation in the battle of Trafalgar (the most decisive for the Napoleonic wars). It had 104 cannons: 1st deck: 30 cannons of 32 pounds. 2nd deck: 28 cannons of 24 pounds. 3rd deck: 30 cannons of 12 pounds (long). Alcázar: 12 cannons of 12 pounds (short). Forecastle: 2 cannons of 12 pounds (medium) and 2 carronades of 68 pounds. It is currently in a dry dock at Portsmouth (United Kingdom). It’s the most symbolic piece of the Royal Navy for its importance in its last battle, which would give England the maritime supremacy for nearly 150 years. It comes from a private collection.
