"This charming adventure story gives an interesting picture of the German spirit of comradely life and bustle in the B.d.m. and of the tasks of this Hitler girl" (publishing advertising to "emphasise national and national-socialist literature" in the Franz Schneider Verlag). Bilderwelt 1488: The sound of the traditional "Backfischbuch" 1932 told the "conversion" of the until then apolitical student Ulla to National-Socialism. The Nazi party is presented as a Socialist worker-friendly party, which advocates abolition of the level differences, the Social Democrats and Communists are called "red underworld" and "Powers of darkness”. - Closing words: "The goal of our struggle... is the Socialist German Revolution!" – the cover shows a blonde braided girl in BDM-uniform with swastika flag, p 77 a full-page illustration of "The Führer in front of 80,000 happy beaming kids". Suddenly vivid singing from the street could be heard. All stormed down the stairs and to the gate. "Now they're coming!" cheered Hilde. Right, down the road, a troop of girls came happily singing. "Fly up you red eagle, high above the swamp and sand... " Ulla could understand the words of the song quite well. The girls marched four in a row, first and foremost the pennant blew. All of them wore dark skirts and white blouses, a black neck cloth. Everywhere curious faces came out of the windows. It was a pretty sight really how the whole group walked in the bright sunshine. Lute accompanied the singing. It sounded beautiful. "If I only could march with with them like that!", Ulla sighed. -Hilde Voss had let their girls appear in a row in the garden. Now, she joined the Gau Director and reported her flock. The Gau Director, just like the others in a dark skirt and white blouse, a blonde big girl of perhaps 20 years, warmly welcomed Hilde Voss. Then the two checked the number of new members. Each received a handshake and had to call her name. Then commanded the Director: Attention: To our new comrades a triple "Kampf-Heil!" as a welcome salutation. " K a m p f h e i l! K a m p f h e i l! K a m p f h e i l! " The echo sounded bright and happy.
