Mechanical clock, hourly and half-hourly strike on a bell, 7 days power reserve
Bid on an extraordinary Parisian pendule from the House of Japy Freres under the original glass dome.
The clock was made circa 1870.
Flawless white enamel dial with Black Roman numerals, blued steel hands.
The figurine next to the movement shows St. James as a child, the patron saint of travellers on the Way of St. James.
With his left hand he holds his walking staff, in his right hand is the scallop, mark of pilgrims.
The figures, child and sheep are very precisely composed.
The casing stands on a black wooden base plate, measuring 40 x 18 cm, the total height is 47 cm.
Total revision of the clock occurred in December 2016; the clock runs and strikes accurately.
The clock is a museum piece !!
Because the glass dome is very fragile, the clock must be picked up in Stade / Germany or, if expenses are paid, this superb piece can also be delivered.
If the item is to be shipped, this must be arranged by the buyer and the buyer must settle the costs directly with the freight forwarder.
