The Danish company Raadvad was established in 1758, becoming famous from the 19th century for its manufacture of knives and kitchen implements. Their iconic bread slicer has been produced for over a century and has become a Danish design classic.
This particular slicer was made in cast iron, steel and wood, according to the original design and would have been produced in the 1950s or early 1960s. It has not been repainted, but is in excellent used condition with original cream and gold paint, with an attractive patina that reflects its age. The wood is fine without discolouration. The blade is in good condition and the slicer is in full working order. The guillotine style cutter functions well – it can be used to slice various breads (including rye bread), cheese, soap, fruits or flowers, as an unusual book rack, or simply for decoration. Ideal at home in the kitchen, or as an unusual decoration in a shop or cafe.
Approximate measurements when closed (including handle): Length 20 cm x height 25 cm x depth 35 cm, weight about 3 kg.
I pack with care, and will combine postage if requested.

It took a bit long to get my parcel, but the contact with the seller was pleasant and it arrived safe and sound. The delay was due to the shipping company, so very positive concerning seller and item
